Nourish and nurture your entire being with healing food, sacred music & Ayurvedic therapies
Mantra Class On Zoom | Monday Evenings
Experience the soothing, healing sounds of sacred mantra for deep relaxation from the comfort of your own home. Each mantra series runs over 4 consecutive Monday evenings where we learn the mantra, its meaning and a bhajan (sacred song). When practiced over this 4 week period, the vibrations generated deepen the power of the chanting for profound benefits.
During the 1 hour session, we chant 108 seed mantras for meditation and then I invite you to lay down and rest while I sing a healing song to you with gentle hypnotic rhythms paced at 60 beats per minute (resting heart rate). This tempo infuses you with nourishing and calming vibrations that naturally soothes your mind and nervous system. After the relaxation you sit up and I teach you a bhajan (sacred song) that relates to the mantra we are learning. By the end of the session you will be feeling relaxed and rejuvenated, ready for a lovely sleep.
“I have the most beautiful sleep after mantra class. I’m just so peaceful.” Gail

How Does Chanting Work?
When we are stressed, our mind goes out of tune, much like a guitar. An instrument needs tuning regularly, so do our minds. Mantra music awakens the vibrations of peace that are deeply embedded in you, and you come back in tune with nature and feel relaxed, content and happy.
My music is unique with a special formula that makes relaxation easy.I use Indian classical raga and long continuous tracks paced at 60bpm (resting heart rate)This tempo naturally soothes your mind and nervous system without effort, infusing you with nourishing calming vibrations.
What Is A Raga?
A raga is an Indian classical musical scale that takes mantra to a deeper level. Each raga carries spiritual energy and has a unique sound, quality and action on the mind. You will hear beautiful ragas from the 15th century which destroy impurities in the mind. The power of raga is held within every note and carries the vibrations of mantra deep into your soul.
What Is A Mantra?
Mantra is a Sanskrit word. ‘Man’ means mind and ‘tra’ means to train, so a mantra is a tool that is used to train the mind. Sanskrit is a spiritual language that speaks to your soul. The mantras are sound vibrations containing healing intelligence called prana which is our guiding life force. When we chant, we activate healing energy that soothes the nervous system and focuses the mind.
When thoughts get stuck in a pattern of negativity like worrying about the future or regretting the past, mantra is used to disconnect from those thoughts, away from stress, guiding you back to the present moment of inner peace which is your true nature. Deep within, we are always peaceful and loving. It’s constant thought and emotional patterns, playing the same negativity over and over again, that takes us away from this pure state of peace. Energy flows where your mind goes, so if you are focused on stress, you will feel stressed. If your mind is pointed toward a mantra, you train the mind to relax. When you are relaxed, your mind gains clarity to deal with challenges and wisdom comes forth. When you listen to mantra chanting and make the sound with your own voice, the vibrations are absorbed by your body and enliven every cell. This becomes a self soothing meditation practice that has healing benefits.
Everything I create honours the ancient Indian tradition of mantra, yoga and Ayurveda. As a qualified Ayurvedic Practitioner, yogi and sacred music artist, I am deeply inspired by this path because it has healed me of chronic fatigue, chronic pain, anxiety and depression. My devotion brings a richness and spiritual energy to my music, teaching, cooking and Ayurvedic therapies to help you nurture your divine beautiful self.
As food nourishes your body, sacred sound feeds your soul. For thousands of years the sages of ancient India have known of the spiritual science of sound, mantra, yoga and Ayurveda for healing the mind and body and have passed on this wisdom to us in an unbroken lineage of the Vedic tradition.
The repetition of Sanskrit mantras and simple, yet inspired melodies invoke powerful healing vibrations that restore peace, harmony and vitality to our inner being and outer worlds, awakening us to the great spirit of love that is our true nature.

Award Winning Singer Songwriter, Professional Musician, Teacher, Ayurvedic Practitioner.
I'm an award winning songwriter, professional musician, teacher and Ayurvedic Practitioner.
I've been singing all my life, but my true musical heart was untouched until I went to India. I fell in love with the healing sounds, exotic instruments and classical ragas that touched my heart and inspired me to record a range of albums for yoga and meditation.
While in India, I also discovered the healing science of Ayurveda and later studied with Dr. S. Ajit, AIAS. This set me on the path to healing myself of chronic fatigue, chronic pain, anxiety and depression.
I've recorded ten albums under my brand Cafe Mantra, authored my first Ayurvedic cookbook and teach harmonium, chanting and Indian classical singing.
I travel Australia and abroad to yoga festivals, yoga retreats and conscious music events to share the sound of spirit and the sacred science of mantra and Ayurveda. When I'm not travelling, I teach and consult at my home in West Haven, Mid North Coast NSW.
